I'm starting to feel like Google really fucked up here, or I'm an idiot. It let me download the build tools (which I assumed was what I needed) but still doesn't give me the sdk (which I guess the build tools go on top of, so sdkmanager won't help me). I downloaded them and tried using the command line sdkmanager with these instructions. The only other thing on the download page are the command line tools. It tells me that my android sdk is missing, out of date or corrupted. I cancel out of it anyways, go to the SDK manager and try to download the build tools. I downloaded studio from here and on startup it says I have to set the SDK path (which I don't have) and says it won't work when I cancel out of it. You can use the included sdkmanager to download other SDK packages. So apparently the SDK isn't included in Android Studio anymore and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it. If you do not need Android Studio, you can download the basic Android command-line tools above. Original post: I feel like I must be missing something blindingly obvious here. If anybody knows the real solution, please let me know. Couldn't find the archived installs link from the android studio page, but I did on stackoverflow: įrom there I was able to update to the current version. Edit: Still don't know how you do it the correct way, but I was able to install an older version that included the SDK.
